The Legends of Music Exhibition

Established in 1995, with the generous assistance of a large number of artists and managers, the Legends of Music Experience is a free exhibition that provides fans throughout the world with the rare opportunity of seeing up close and in person, the stage outfits and instruments owned and used by some of music’s rock and pop legends.

An Immersive Musical Experience

With integrated touchscreen interactivity, the free exhibition allows visitors to navigate through the interactive menu and learn about the artists and the exhibits on display. The viewer can also view photos of the artist using or wearing the exhibit and learn the story of the exhibit’s origin and how it was used or worn.

It’s an exciting, interactive walk-through of some of history’s rare and unique items, many of which you’ve only ever seen at concerts or in music videos.

Each visitor has unique interests so we’ve also created a smart phone ‘Audio Guide’, so each visitor can personalise their experience and learn about the artists they’re interested in, allowing individuals to curate their own personal musical experience.

The Legends of Music is a fundraising initiative for the Starlight Children’s Foundation. Donations and funds received go to our friends at Starlight to help fund their amazing Starlight Rooms. The Legends of Music team also provides Starlight with assistance in linking them with artists to help their wish granting program as well as music programs that are broadcast on Starlight TV throughout the children's wards.

Starlight is Australia's broadest reaching children's charity. Their in-hospital programs are delivered every day to children around the country, lifting their spirits, building resilience and forming an integral part of their total care. They look after children of all ages, all illnesses and injuries and help sick kids forget they're sick for a while to rediscover the joy of childhood.
